Situated in the heart of Dublin in the St. James Gate Brewery next to the river Liffey, the Guinness Storehouse is a dream destination for any connoisseur of "the black stuff" as Guinness is known locally. The brewery has been in existence since 1759 and was once the biggest brewery in the world. Today Guinness produces about 850,000,000 litres of this tasty beverage (yup, thats a lot!) per year.
Originally leased by Arthur Guinness for 9000 years the St James site now covers over 64 acres of prime land in Dublin's city centre. A tour of the Guinness Storehouse is an education in the history and methodology of brewing Guinness in Ireland and of course includes a complimentary pint at the end. Be sure to book your clients a stop here on their tour of Ireland.

Originally built as a residence for a wealthy British doctor, Kylemore Abbey later became a Benedictine monastery. Founded in 1920 on the grounds of the original castle the Monastery was set up by Benedictine Nuns who were fleeing world war one in Belgium. These nuns went on to set up a school to educate girls from the locality and abroad. This school lasted for over 90 years until finally closing in 2010.
The building itself took over 4 years to complete with 100 men working on the project. The main facade alone measures 43 meters in width. The building houses a ballroom, a billiard room, a library, a study, a smoking room, 33 bedrooms, 4 sitting rooms and a gun room. There are also some stunning walled Victorian gardens.
